This is a set tariff, not a ceiling: Rp 1,000,000 per day from the first day, under PP 45/2024. Not paying it converts the case into deportation and a re-entry ban, the same outcome as a long overstay.

Why the day count is the whole tool
An overstay is not one penalty that grows. It is two regimes with a line between them, and the line matters more than the rate. On one side the consequence is a daily charge, arithmetic, payable, and the trip ends with a bill. On the other side the charge stops because money is no longer the instrument: what applies instead is removal and a ban on returning, which no amount settles at the counter. Pages that publish only the daily figure describe the first regime and leave the reader unaware the second exists.
That is why this tool asks for a number of days rather than a currency, and why it changes what it tells you rather than what it multiplies. The daily rate is set in a tariff regulation. The line and what sits beyond it are set in the immigration statute as amended, which is a different instrument with a different volatility. Both are read at their own text on the rule page, and neither is inferred from the other.
Read the rule page before acting on any of it, because the cases where the rate is zero are real and are decided by circumstances a slider cannot know. This tool is a way to see the shape of the consequence, not a determination of your own.
What this tool does not do
